Why nails? That's what everyone wanted to know when in 1985, I decided to go to Moro Beauty College in Glendale, CA to become a manicurist. Well, I wanted to work with people, do something creative and be able to make a good living. Fortunately for me, my first job in Studio City was right around the corner from CBS/MTM Studios. So not only was I trained by and working with the best manicurists in Southern CA, but I also was able to meet and work on some of "Hollywood's finest".
In 1988, I moved to Pismo Beach and opened a nail salon in the Village of Arroyo Grande. Now I live in my beautiful home in Grover Beach and I am very lucky to work at the "Best of SLO County" salon: The Bladerunner Day Spa, where I specialize in French manicures ("there's nothing prettier than a French when it is first done"), natural and problem nails (i.e.: nail biters, etc.), and acrylics ("love those pink and whites"). Now the only question is: Why haven't I seen YOU getting your nails done at The Bladerunner Day Spa?
